Baltimore Washington Medical Center Operating Room & Surgical Support Expansion – Structural engineering services for the vertical expansion of the existing Emergency Department at BWMC.  This project includes expansion and renovation to add operating rooms, central sterile processing and surgical areas.  Project consists of one (1) 27,650 sq. ft. addition and renovation of 13,743 sq. ft. of existing space.

Southern Maryland Hospital Center – Structural design includes the construction of a new 2 level vertical expansion of the existing 3-story building plus a new elevator and stair tower for the full building height, along with interior renovations of the first floor of the main hospital and lower 3 floors of the expanded building.  This project is located in Prince Georges County, Maryland.

Anne Arundel Medical Center -

Oxygen Storage Tank – Structural engineering services for the new Oxygen Tank Platform located in Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Acute Care Pavilion Helipad – Structural engineering services for the Helipad addition at the roof of the Acute Care Pavilion originally designed by our office in 1997.

Medical Office Building - Structural design of six (6) story, 190,000 sq. ft. Class ‘A’ speculative office building with 110 foot long bridge structure to be constructed on the campus of Anne Arundel Medical Center. The building was constructed utilizing a composite steel frame with steel beam and metal deck roof, masonry stair and elevator towers, brick veneer with metal stud walls and a conventional concrete spread footing foundation. This office building is located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

Acute Care Pavilion - Structural design of a seven (7) story, 250,000 sq. ft. composite beam/steel frame Acute Care Facility for Anne Arundel Health Systems, located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

AAMC Clatanoff Pavilion Expansion - Structural design of conversion of existing first floor parking area to an enclosed 21,442 sq. ft. hospital patient floor and a new 1800 sq. ft. basement at Anne Arundel Medical Center

Johns Hopkins Hospital -

NIH - Relocation of exhaust fan on roof of existing penthouse and redesign of grillage above roof adjacent to penthouse entrance for five (5) hyblast fans.

Ross Building - Structural review to determine if the weight of the electrically isolated chambers can support the existing floor at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Lloyd Minor’s laboratory, Baltimore City, Maryland.

Traylor Building - Renovation of eight (8th) floor totaling 8,000 sq. ft. to accommodate a new wide bore spectrometer, located in Baltimore City, Maryland.

Kennedy Krieger Institute – Structural design of slab on grade for MRI addition located in Baltimore City, Maryland.

Union Memorial Hospital -

Roof Helipad – Structural engineering services for a helipad above the roof of the Johnston Building located in Baltimore, Maryland

Multipurpose building - Structural design of a four (4) story, 80,000 sq. ft. medical office building over a 4-story, 130,000 sq. ft. outpatient services building, located in Baltimore, Maryland.

Physician's Office Building - Structural design of eight (8) story, 175,000 sq. ft. outpatient and doctor’s office, and two (2) story psychology building located in Baltimore City, Maryland. Project was completed in 1992.

Radiology - Structural design of a single story, 10,000 sq. ft. building for out-patient radiation treatment center located in Baltimore City, Maryland. Project was completed in 1992.

Outpatient Psychology Building - Structural design of a two (2) story, 10,000 sq. ft. building, located in Baltimore, Maryland.

Roof Helipad - Structural engineering services for a roof helipad to be constructed above the roof of the Johnston Building of Union Memorial Hospital located in Baltimore City, Maryland.

Sinai Hospital -

South Tower Helipad – Structural engineering services for the prefabricated helipad structure constructed over the existing roof of the South Tower at Sinai Hospital located in Baltimore City, Maryland

ER7 Expansion – Structural design of expansion of emergency room. Included is building additions necessary to provide an entrance to the ground level of the existing building and other interior modifications.

Emergency Department - Structural design of two (2) story, 59,000 sq. ft. concrete frame hospital with provisions for six (6) story vertical expansion located in Baltimore City, Maryland.

Cafeteria Extension - Structural design of new cafeteria facility located in Baltimore City, Maryland.

Blaustein Building - Structural design of three (3) story, 60,000 sq. ft. steel frame expansion to the existing Blaustein Building at Sinai Hospital located in Baltimore City, Maryland.

Cancer Center - Structural engineering services for a 1-story vertical expansion of the east portion of the former emergency department parking deck that is north of the present Cancer Center.

Cath Lab 'D' - Structural engineering services including the review of existing floor framing for support of new medical equipment and design of supplement reinforcing as required.

Westward Expansion - Structural design of a 4-story, 27,500 sq. ft. western expansion of the north wing of Sinai Hospital. The addition which includes 4 new state of the art operating rooms that are being construction over the main loading dock for this hospital campus that must remain operational throughout this building construction.

Hecht Building Vertical Expansion - Structural design of a 3 level, 11,000 sq. ft. concrete framed horizontal expansion and 2 level plus penthouse, 48,000 sq. ft. vertical expansion of the existing Hecht Building to accommodate new operating room and diagnostic suites. This project included the design of a large span addition over the hospitals main loading dock, steel framed floors to accommodate micro-surgery, and strengthening of the existing building structure to satisfy the wind and seismic requirements of the IBC 2000 Building Code.

Southern Vertical Expansion - Structural design of a 2-story, 50,000 sq. ft. vertical expansion of the existing emergency department to house new patient rooms. This addition's roof structure is used for emergency helicopter landings. This building shall have new shear walls added to resist the increased wind and seismic loads required by the IBC 2000 Building Code.

General Hospital, North Wing Expansion - Structural design of expansion of three (3) areas of the North Wing of this facility. Design consists of a 5-story, 3,950 sq. ft. addition from the ground floor through the fourth floor, a 2-story addition to the second floor (existing roof) and third floor above the existing MRI suite totaling 1,100 sq. ft. and a single story cantilevered addition to the fourth floor totaling 670 sq. ft. at the infill area.

Sinai 2nd floor - PET Scan - Structural engineering service for PET Scan machine and lead shielding on the existing second floor of the general hospital building.

OB Department - Structural design of 5-story OB Department addition to be constructed over existing 2-story link between Blaustein Building and Mt. Pleasant Building.

Northwest Hospital -

Inpatient Tower Vertical Expansion – Structural design services include the conversion of the existing roof of the 2-story, inpatient tower to a 3rd floor and the construction of a new 4th floor and roof structure.

Nuclear Medicine Suite - Structural engineering services include the review of existing first floor concrete slab on grade for support of optional relocated existing / new floor mounted medical equipment to be installed in Rooms 1, 2 and 3 of the Nuclear Medicine Suite. Services also include the review of adjacent existing roof framing for support of new roof mounted exhaust fans and framed openings servicing the Nuclear Medicine Suite.

Outpatient Building - Structural engineering services for the vertical and horizontal expansion of the existing outpatient building located in Baltimore County, MD.

Radiology Rooms 1 & 4 - Structural engineering services for the renovation of the first floor of Northwest Hospital Center to accommodate the new radiology equipment located in Baltimore County, MD.

Physical Therapy Additions/Renovations - Structural design of a new 4-story, hydraulic elevator with adjacent exterior machine room; a single story roof top penthouse addition; and various interior renovations to be placed thru and adjacent to the existing patient tower located in Baltimore County, MD.

New Infrastructure Buildings - Structural design of new infrastructure buildings including the design of a single story, 3,100 sq. ft. generator building and foundation for the above grade metal tanks and 2-story, 9,472 sq. ft. AHU substation building located in Baltimore County, MD.

OR Renovations - Structural design of OR renovations including the design of the steel support framing for the new roof top custom air-handling unit, and new roof openings and support for new mechanical room piping and other suspended items, located in Baltimore County, MD.

North Arundel Hospital -

Emergency Department - Structural design of one (1) story, 30,000 sq. ft. concrete frame hospital with provisions for a four (4) story vertical expansion located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

Medical Center - Structural design of three (3) story, 60,000 sq. ft. medical office building and CAT SCAN structure located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Project was completed in 1989.

St. Agnes Hospital-

St. Agnes Hospital - Structural design of an infrastructure upgrade of the north patient tower including an addition of a new 4,000 sq. ft. penthouse structure, and a new vertical shaft for the full height of the building to house new steam and chilled water piping located in Baltimore City, Maryland.

AHU #11 Replacement & Path- Structural engineering services for the replacement of AHU #11 and associated Path Labs Modifications at St. Agnes Hospital.

Radiology Department - Structural design of a three (3) phase renovation to Radiology Department located at St. Agnes hospital.

St. Joseph Medical Center-

64 Slice CT Scanner - Structural review of existing floor framing for support of new medical equipment and design of supplement reinforcing as required located in Baltimore County, Maryland.

Catherization Lab No. 6- Structural review of existing floor framing for support of new medical equipment and design of unistrut support systems and miscellaneous steel members for hanging equipment in the Catherization Lab.

Radiation Oncology - Structural design of 3,200 sq. ft. concrete framed structure adjacent to medical office building.

Woodbourne Woods - Structural design of a 4-story, 71 - one bedroom unit apartment building for elderly residents at Good Samaritan Hospital located in Baltimore City, Maryland.

Good Samaritan Convalescent Center - Structural design of a 2-story, 58,000 sq. ft. convalescent center.

Good Samaritan Modular Building - Structural engineering services to assist GSH in the erection of a 41'- 6" wide x 50'- 0" long modular building which is to be constructed in place of the existing greehouse on the east end of the campus.

Mercy Medical Center / Physicians Office Building - Structural design of nine (9) story, 85,000 sq. ft. office building, three (3) story underground Operating Room Suite and three (3) story connection link-over existing parking deck located in Baltimore City, Maryland.

GBMC / Hospice - Structural design of two (2) story, 40,000 sq. ft. hambro framed and metal stud roof truss Hospice for Greater Baltimore Medical Center located in Baltimore County, Maryland.

GBMC / Third Floor Interventional Radiology Room - Structural engineering services for the new interventional radiology room on the third floor of the main hospital of GBMC located in Baltimore County, MD.

Church Home Hospital / First Floor Renovation - Structural design for additions and renovations to existing first floor community and administrative areas located in Baltimore City, Maryland.
