Chesapeake College - Caroline College Center - Structural renovation of a two story 25,419 sq. ft. building along with a new two story addition comprised of 10,000 sq. ft. located in Wye Mills, MD.

Catonsville Community College Pool Building Repairs - Structural design services for the repair of the existing deteriorated steel beams which support the exterior walls of this pool building located in Baltimore County, MD.

University of Baltimore - Charles Hall - Structural design of mechanical upgrade includes the structural support of a new roof top unit on a prefab curb and a steel frame support for unit ACCU-1, located in Baltimore City, MD.

St. John's College - Mellon Hall - Structural design of two (2) story, 7,000 sq. ft. classroom addition, the renovation of the 75,000 sq. ft. existing building to accommodate a new architectural program and HVAC System, and a one (1) story courtyard addition.

Howard County Community College, Print Shop Storage - Structural design of a single story, 6,000 sq. ft. building addition adjacent to an existing three (3) story classroom addition on the existing campus in Howard County, MD.

Villa Julie College - Multi-Purpose Building -

Structural design of a new two (2) story Multi-Purpose Building with partial basement and crawl space which houses a gymnasium, locker rooms, student center, offices, classrooms, and aerobics room; three (3) story classroom building; and two (2) story 400+ seat auditorium with support spaces, classrooms, offices, and art gallery on the campus of Villa Julie College in Baltimore County, MD. This $21 million project effectively doubles the total building area of the growing college campus.

Towson State University -

Towson Run Apartments - Structural design of seven (7) story 160,000 sq. ft. concrete framed dormitory with lower level retail stores on the campus of TSU.

Burkshire of Towson State Pedestrian Bridge - Structural design of clear span pedestrian bridge and adjacent stair over Burke Avenue to connect this new dormitory/office building to the main campus of Towson State University.

Glen Bridge - Structural evaluation, analysis and recommendations for existing 200 ft. long pedestrian bridge between three (3) dormitory towers and the main campus of Towson State University, in Towson, MD. Morabito Consultants recommendations resulted in the complete replacement of this existing bridge structure with a new pedestrian bridge which was designed and constructed under the supervision of Morabito Consultants.

Burdick Garage - Structural design of a five (5) story, precast concrete, 1,000 car parking facility for Mullan Contracting Company, located in Towson, MD.

MICA (MD Institute College of Art) -

Structural design of new auditorium/academic building consisting of a post-tensioned cast-in-place concrete structure with architecturally exposed steel framed Atrium. The building footprint increases with the height of the structure, requiring sloped columns and increasing long cantilevered slabs. The entire façade is enclosed in glass. This project is located in Baltimore City, MD.

Wor-Wic Community College -

Allied Health & Science Building - Structural design of new three (3) story, 29,500 sq. ft. building comprising classrooms, laboratories, offices, and mechanical room, adjacent to existing Wor-Wic College building, located in Salisbury, MD.

Criminal Justice Building- Structural design of three (3) story plus penthouse, 33,810 sq. ft. Criminal Justice Building located on the Wor Wic Community College campus located in Salisbury, MD.

McDaniel College -

Science Building - New construction of four (4), 45,000 sq. ft. story concrete framed chemistry and biology laboratory building, adjacent to Lewis Hall on the existing campus.

Gymnasium - Replacement and repair of the fire damaged Old Gill Gym. Includes the structural design of a new Techum roof deck supported by new bulb tee sub purlins, steel beams and steel trusses (designed by our office) and a new precast, prestressed concrete plank gymnasium floor which is supported by the existing masonry walls and new interior steel beams, columns and spread footings. Also included is a new slab on grade constructed at the lower level of this building for a new meeting room.

Levine Hall - Design of band room, handicap and fire safety addition to the existing Hall totaling approximately 20,000 sq. ft.

University of Maryland -

Professional Building - Renovation of existing eight (8) story, 180,000 sq. ft. heavy timber framed building to modern offices. This project included the design of several new stairs and elevators, a modified entrance lobby, complete new MEP systems, and the installation of a MRI unit.

Pearl Street Garage - Relocation of operations/maintenance facility for entire UMAB campus to two (2) floors within an existing parking garage.

The School of Pharmacy - Structural design of renovation of the existing building structure at 410 / 412 W. Fayette Street in Baltimore City, Maryland.

Student Housing - Eastern Shore - Structural design of three (3) story, 161 units totaling 75,000 sq. ft. located in Princes Anne County, MD. The structure is a precast floor plank supported on masonry bearing walls with a wood truss roof.

Johns Hopkins University -

JHU Brody Learning Commons – Structural engineering services for the Brody Learning Commons on the Homewood Campus of Johns Hopkins University. This project includes the design of a new 7-story, 42,500 sq. ft. building connected to the south side of the existing Milton F. Eisenhower Library.

JHU Press Building – Structural engineering services for the renovation of the existing JHU Press Building at 2715 N. Charles Street in Baltimore City, MD.

JHU South Quadrangle Development - Structural design and Parking Garage Consultant for this 40,000 sq. ft. Visitors Center, 80,000 sq. ft. Computational Sciences Building and 3-story, 612 car, 222,000 sq. ft. underground Parking Garage on the campus of Johns Hopkins University.

Downtown Center (Charles Center South) - Structural design of a new auditorium, classrooms, and offices within a former movie theater in Baltimore City for Johns Hopkins University. This project included the design of stepped seating, a raised stage, and new framed floor within a former theater which is located over a five (5) level parking structure.

Downtown Center - (Former Hamburgers Building) - Structural design of additions and alterations to this former clothing store, locate in Baltimore City, MD.

Hampton House - Structural design of new Auditorium in a former gymnasium/swimming pool area within this existing six (6) story structure, located in Baltimore City, MD. The design included stepped seating, new egress stairs, and other support facilities.

Johns Hopkins School of Medicine -

School of Medicine (various buildings and renovations) - Morabito Consultants, Inc. has completed the structural design of over 20 laboratory and classroom projects in various buildings of the School of Medicine, including Traylor Building, Woods Basic Science Building, Oncology Building, Reed and Garland Hall, Biology Department and Physics and Astronomy Department.

School of Hygiene & Public Health - Structural design of new seven (7) story, 75,000 sq. ft. concrete framed laboratory building for Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore City, MD.

Morgan State University - Phase I & II

Phase I / Dormitory - Structural design of 300 student, eight (8) story, 90,000 sq. ft. dormitory located on the campus of Morgan State University.

Phase II / Dormitory & Dining Hall - Structural design of 200 student, six (6) story dormitory and adjacent one (1) story dining hall totaling 130,000 sq. ft. The dormitory tower is a wall bearing masonry structure with precast concrete plank floors and the dining hall is steel and masonry construction.
